Celebrating Another Year at the Miami Open 2025

We made it through another year—and that means another chance to experience the excitement of the Miami Open! This time, we had the pleasure of celebrating Gregory’s birthday at Fabel, it was an unforgettable SocialXChange Miami event Courtside Soul Social, Powered by Hennessy.

The day party was a vibe—featuring an incredible female DJ, a mesmerizing fire breather, and a stylish crowd dressed to impress, fully embracing the tennis theme.

“Will do”

The only thing we love more than an all white party, is a theme.

We love an event with great energy and an even better purpose. This one honored HBCUs with tennis programs, highlighted the legacy of Black players in the sport, and spotlighted the rising stars to watch during the Miami Open.

The weather was perfect, the atmosphere electric—there was just one hiccup. Despite having seats and a table, getting food was impossible. We asked, waited, and even chased down staff to place an order. By the time someone finally took it, it was already time to head to the 7 PM match. It seemed like the venue was simply overwhelmed by the crowd.

We headed out a little before 7 PM and grabbed food in the main area—so many local options to choose from! Sushi, Pizza, Cheeseburgers, Ice cream… the decision wasn’t easy, but I went with Cheeseburger Baby. Now, let’s talk about these prices—the burger was pushing $20, and fries were $8. Even the employee felt my shock because he slipped me the fries on the low. He really came through because, let’s be real, inflation is wild. But I have to say, the burger was huge, the fries were warm, and after all those drinks at Fabel (thx Steph) it was exactly what I needed.

There’s something special about watching matches on the smaller outdoor courts. You’re right in the action—you can hear the players grunt, their shoes squeaking as they skid across the court. The crowd? Absolutely electric. People were doing the wave, cheering players on and off the court, and waving flags like their lives depended on it. Some even took their shirts off, fully caught up in the moment. As the match went on, the tension kept building, making every point even more intense. It’s the kind of energy that makes the Miami Open so unforgettable.

Monfils put up an incredible fight—and he won! We wrapped up the night catching up with friends before hopping on the back of a pedicab for a fun, breezy ride back to our cars. The perfect way to end an unforgettable day.

VICTORY!

All in all it was a fantastic day of celebration, culture, and tennis.

Happy Birthday Gregory! Until next year, Miami Open! ❤
