October 2018 –

A girls trip to Spain to celebrate life.

We had a wonderful time enjoying tapas, sipping wine, and taking a dip in some of the saltiest waters I’ve ever encountered.

Viva España!

Madrid

Explore the City Center

Get ready to explore the city center in your comfortable walking shoes and indulge in some of the most exquisite food experiences. The bustling streets are lined with vendors offering delectable hand-held snacks, reminiscent of convenient charcuterie on the go. Immerse yourself in the rich culture by visiting museums, churches, and the vibrant atmosphere of Street XO. We had the privilege of dining at a restaurant boasting three Michelin stars, a modern and trendy spot that truly captivated us. The architectural marvels of the city, with their meticulously preserved details, including quaint, small elevators, left a lasting impression.

Pro Tip: When moving from place to place, consider packing light with a carry-on bag. The city’s small airplanes and rugged terrain, along with the occasional need to navigate narrow staircases, make traveling light a practical choice.

Ibiza

In October, Ibiza is considered the off-season, as most of the year’s parties have already taken place.

For a livelier atmosphere, consider traveling in July or August. Despite its size, the island boasts incredibly hospitable locals. During our visit, we enjoyed a delightful stay at the themed Dorado Ibiza hotel, an experience deserving of a 5-star rating.

Barcelona

The market and museums captured my heart, with the stunning Basílica de la Sagrada Familia at the top of my must-see list. During our visit, we experienced the lively atmosphere of the city, witnessing an outdoor wedding on one street and a protest on another.

Barcelona made us feel welcomed and safe, with its vibrant energy. For a combination of restaurant and club, Shôko Barcelona was the perfect choice. Indulging in paella and dancing through the night, we almost missed our flights the next morning.

Pro tip: Always keep your luggage ready to go — it may sound impossible, but if you want to party until dawn, it’s a must!
