A 2-day cruise might just be a teaser for some people, but for me, it was a total win!
Back in 2018, I embarked on my very first solo cruise aboard the Carnival Horizon. I had this amazing cabin on the Spa Deck with a balcony. Although I didn’t spend much time on the balcony – I was all over the place! From the club to the bar, the casino, the pool, and the hot tub, I was everywhere. I think I only popped out onto the balcony twice. Watching the sunrise and sunset was stunning, but that vast expanse of water? Kind of intimidating!
During the cruise, we made a stop in Nassau, Bahamas, and I had the most delightful local breakfast at a local eatery. Then, I met up with some coworkers and friends for some Sky Juice at the Fish Fry and even met up with my cousin Marcia from my dad’s side of the family. I’ve been to Nassau quite a few times and have done some amazing excursions, but sometimes, just liming is the best.
The highlight of my cruise? Winning over $700 in the casino! I ended up treating everyone around me to drinks and still walked away with some extra cash.
All things considered, it was an epic time.
